The Malaghan Institute of Medical Research is New Zealand’s leading independent health research organisation, with around 100 staff dedicated to finding cures for diseases using the body’s own immune system.

We are looking for a professional administrator who has successful experience in a scientific research setting, to provide administrative and research support within our Cancer Immunotherapy Programme. This permanent, full-time role will primarily provide PA support to our Clinical Director and Programme leader, and further assistance to the Cancer Immunotherapy Team as needed. PA experience would be very beneficial, but is not a must.

The successful applicant will demonstrate exceptional written communication skills - the ability to research, digest, analyse and present material clearly and concisely, be it in a quick email or a detailed report.

The right person for this role will be proactive, organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively. The ability to stay calm under pressure and manage tight deadlines is a must. As hands on support across the wider team, our new PA/Team Administrator will be energetic and personable, and able to build rapport easily with co-workers and external stakeholders.
